Hilary Swank joins Matthew McConaughey for The Dallas Buyers Club!

From The Hollywood Reporter:

Matthew McConaughey and two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank have joined The Dallas Buyer’s Club, signing on to star in the real-life drama from Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallee (The Young Victoria).

The film centers on Ron Woodroof, a Texas electrician diagnosed with AIDS who began smuggling alternative drugs into the U.S. to help himself and other AIDS patients. His actions put him on a collision course with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which was bent on keeping the drugs out of the country. Craig Borten and Melisa Wallack adapted Woodroof’s story for the screen.

Robbie Brenner (Machine Gun Preacher) is producing with Rachel Rothman-Winter and former ICM agent Nathan Ross.

Content Film is selling Dallas Buyer’s Club to international buyers in Cannes. CAA is handling North American rights to the film.

-Joey's Two Cents: I have high hopes for this film, so hopefully it continues to come together smoothly at last...thoughts?
