Sean Bean to play the King in 'Snow White'

According to Variety...

Hot off the first season of HBO's "Game of Thrones," Brit thesp Sean Bean is in final negotiations to play the King in Relativity Media's untitled Snow White movie.
Lily Collins stars as Snow White, while Julia Roberts and Armie Hammer co-star as her wicked stepmother and princely love interest, respectively.

Bean will soon close a deal to play Snow White's father, whose kingdom is destroyed by Roberts' evil Queen.

Relativity will release Tarsem Singh's family-friendly Snow White movie on March 16, 2012, more than two months before Universal opens its rival project "Snow White and the Huntsman."

Bean has won legions of fans for his authoritative portrayals of warriors, having played Boromir in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and Ned Stark in "Game of Thrones." He recently appeared in two installments of the acclaimed "Red Riding" trilogy and played Zeus in "Percy Jackson & the Olympian: The Lightning Thief." Thesp will soon be seen playing Ashley Judd's husband in flashbacks on ABC's action series "Missing."
