  1. It appears to be more than just an acting showcase, and I can't wait!

  2. I was very impressed with Clooney's last directorial effort, and that combined with a killer cast has me very excited.

Also, is it now required for Ryan Gosling to be in every movie?

  3. The drumrolls were kind of repetitive, but I'm intrigued.

  5. Actually I just remembered his last film was Leatherheads. Wasn't too impressed with that one; I meant Good Night, and Good Luck.

  6. I happened to like Leatherheads, but I absolutely loved Good Night, and Good Luck. Hell, I even enjoyed Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

  7. Blue Valentine, Crazy Stupid Love, the forthcoming Drive, and now this...Ryan Gosling is on an incredible run right now...

  8. Wow looks great! I kind of just read Clooney and political and didn't take much notice. But the premise actually has me very interested and it is a tremendous cast.

  9. Between this and Drive, Gosling should receive a good handfull of award nominations. He might go home empty handed due to a vote split though.

But seriously, this guy is 30 and already one of the best in en business.

  11. Gosling will a get a nom, he is too big to be ignored right now. Specially with roles in Drive and this. But right now, since John Edgar is running for this year's ballot, it is all about LEO.

  12. He's got a great chance, especially since he's also supposedly quite good in his supporting turn in Crazy Stupid Love (but more on that later). Leo's role as J. Edgar Hoover is more baity, yes...but I wouldn't gift wrap him the gold yet.
