Annette Bening cast as Kristen Wiig's mother in upcoming 'Imogene'

According to Entertainment Weekly:

Kristen Wiig has been keeping awfully good company this year, particularly when it comes to fantastic female co-stars. Annette Bening has just been cast opposite the Bridesmaids star in the upcoming film Imogene, the Oscar-nominated actress’ reps confirmed to EW. In the movie, which begins filming in New York next month, Wiig will star as a playwright who is forced to live with her mother (Bening) after faking a suicide attempt that was intended to get her ex-boyfriend’s attention. The film, which has been something of a passion project for Wiig, will be directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini (American Splendor).

Bening is also reportedly in talks to appear in her husband Warren Beatty’s upcoming film about the life of Howard Hughes.

  1. Benning is becoming quite ubiquitous these days. Benning and Mirren are in every movie that comes along. Can't handle seeing either one of them -- they both need to take a long break from movies.
