The best movie trailer of all time is...

...well, it depends on who you ask. The popular consensus is that it's the trailer for Alien. Do I agree? Well, if you check out my article on the most effective trailers of all time (found here), there's also my list of my own favorite trailers of all time, and I have Alien at #2, not #1. My choice? You'll just have to read and find out, but feel free to post your picks for some of the best trailers ever right here!

  1. My full list (along with the 10 most effective ones) is seen on the main page or through the link, but here's my personal top 10 favorite trailers:

    -The Dark Knight
    -Independence Day
    -Where the Wild Things Are
-Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
    -Pulp Fiction
    -The Strangers
    -Little Children

  2. Love the article. I've been putting a list together of favorite trailers for awhile. Here are a few of my recent favorites...

    -Little Children
    -The Social Network
    -Blue Valentine
    -Revolutionary Road
    -A Serious Man
    -A Single Man
    -Biutiful (UK version)
    -Where the Wild Things Are

As you may notice if you've seen a majority of these trailers: music, editing, and sound are used fantastically in expressing these films emotions.

  3. Much obliged, and yes, I've noticed.
