But we all knew that. It's been talked about for months now. But the news from Variety today is that ol' JGL will be playing the role of Alberto Falcone.
That would make him the son of Tom Wilkinson's character from the first movie. From what has been reported, TDKR is supposed to wrap up the Batman story, and tie everything together. Having a character like Alberto Falcone in the mix certainly shows how Christopher Nolan plans on doing that.
Having an actor like JGL on board certainly gives the character a good level of depth, and anyone who knows what he's capable of, and who follows the comics, sees that this could be the perfect marriage of actor to character. I won't report on the character from the comics as to not provide potential spoilers, but if you want to know about Alberto Falcone, it's a mere Google search away.
I hope you're all as excited about this as I am.
I was sort of hoping that the Falcone offspring portrayed in this one (if at all) would be Sofia, but this is Christopher Nolan we're talking about, here...
