I love that WALL-E is #2...
ReplyDeleteI think if you study the list, you realize that they try to cover all the groundbreaking works in animation at the same time as trying hard not to favor any studios. However the omission of both "Fantasia" and "Beauty and The Beast" are sorely missed.

ReplyDeleteIf that's true, it's a mistake. Look, The House That Walt Built defined American animation, so to push out some of their masterpieces like the aforementioned Beauty and the Beast and Fantasia to make room for Happy Feet is a silly way to add "diversity" to this list.
Having said that, their #1 choice is perfect.
I don't think that part is particularly accurate. For my part, I was agreeing with the Beauty and the Beast omission.
