  1. I, like most people, am predicting TKS to be dominant but I don't think it will win both Best Film and Outstanding British Film. I checked a few weeks ago through the last 20 years of the BAFTA's and I'm fairly certain no single film won both of those awards (perhaps it has never happened). Instead, when a British film was given best film they would opt to acknowledge a different film with the British specific award. I have a feeling this will be the case again this year with either 127 Hours or Another Year benefiting.

  2. I can't see The Kings Speech taking both top film awards. Look at when The Queen took Best Film, it lost Best British Film to 'The Last King of Scotland'. I can see The Kings Speech taking best film and then Best British film going to 127 Hours, or possibly Another Year.

Of course the other alternative is if The Social Network somehow manages to grab Best Film (which given the past week is looking like a slight possibility) then Kings Speech will take best British Film.

I have little doubt that Kings Speech is going to do incredibly well tonight, but I've just got this slight inkling that The Social Network will sneak in there... don't know why, as history is pointing everything in TKS' favour!
