I have mixed feelings about this trailer...especially Keira Knightley, whose wild central performance may very well propel or kill this film's Oscar chances.
I don't know why people are thinking so ill of Knightley's performance in this trailer. I liked it. I think it has very good chances of doing well come award season. It reminded me of Kinsey.
Yeah not sure on Knightley either, could go either way. The rest look great though.
Not a great advertisement for what the film will be. I doubt it will be as accessible as it's made out to be here. Awards will probably be coming though.

ReplyDeleteIt more or less confirms what I've been saying...it's a longer shot than people seem to think, but with potential for some real awards loving.

ReplyDeleteI for one don't think ill of Knightley's performance...yet, but it's the kind of acting that could so easily slip off the Cliff of Histrionics.
