Take a gander at our first look at Tom Hanks and Thomas Horn in 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close'...

It's not much, but there you have it...thoughts?

  1. I'm sitting tight for a trailer in the coming month or two, but I still look at this as potentially the film to beat...

  2. I don't know, I'm usually creeped-out by movies that appear to capitalize on 9/11...

  3. Well, luckily for you, this isn't that, but an adaptation of an excellent book that used 9/11 as backdrop more than anything, and to great effect (the story takes place a few years after the attack, and the only moments I'd expect to be pre 9/11 or at that time are the flashbacks with Hanks). This is a far cry from Remember Me...

  4. That's good to hear. I'm hoping to read the book before the film's release, but I'm still a little worried about it (if only from a quality standpoint), since Stephen Daldry often frustrates me to no end.

  5. I'll backpedal a tad just so you don't go in with bloated expectations for the book, but I definitely found it moving and fertile ground for a film. I'm not big on Daldry either, so I'm hoping this will be the one that warms me up to him...
