ReplyDeleteI can never take the Golden Globes seriously, especially after last year. In the Best Musical/Comedy category, films like Alice in Wonderland, Burlesque, and The Tourist were nominated. All of those were weren't totally bad movies, but they had no reason to nominated. Especially when you had better rated comedies like Scott Pilgrim, Easy A, Tangled, Toy Story 3,Despicable Me, etc. Plus Sony bribed the HFPA to a free trip to Las Vegas just to help them nominate The Tourist.
ReplyDeleteIt's nothing new. They're still an influential group, for better or worse.
